There are 2 race formats to race in at the 2018 ITU Triathlon Age Group World Championships, Sprint and Standard distance
You’ll need to qualify to gain a spot in your age group, there are 25 spots per age group, with a series of qualifying races throughout all states, selection based on a ranking of points you achieve in your 3 best races
With one race being a double points race, planning your races and a personalised training program with a focus on your qualifying events is particularly important to maximise your total points and you chance of racing on the Gold Coast for your country, as is the training and tapering leading into these races
Qualifying races for the World Championships begin in August 2017 (Standard distance) and October 2017 (Sprint distance), a training structure with technical development on biomechanics, support and ongoing feedback on your training are essential to maximise your points for qualifying
