Multisport Adventure Race Coaching.

Preparing for an adventure race is not like any other multisport event and requires a very specific training plan and skills training across various disciplines and terrain.

Our Personalized Coaching for Adventure Racing is for people that want to work one-on-one with a professional multisport coach to optimize their training plan and event day plans to improve their results and compete in tough adventure racing events.

Our experienced Coaches have first hand experience in adventure racing training plans, navigation, event logistics, gear selection and how to prepare your nutrition plan for a long distance Adventure event.

We work with adventure racing clients who are competing in their first short course 3 or 6 hour event all the way through to people competing in tough multi day events with multiple disciplines.

Common events for our clients include:

  • Hiking or Rogaining events to improve navigation skills & also trek and trail run experience
  • 3 hour Novice and 6 hour Classic races hosted by Max Adventure & Adventure Junkie
  • 12 hour events across various destinations including Half course events such as Terra Nova, Top Dog just to name a few
  • Long course 24 and 48 hour events such as Geoquest Australia
  • Coast 2 Coast in New Zealand
  • Simpson Desert Bike Challenge 
  • Expedition multi day events including The Legend & XPD events across Australia

  • A completely customised training plan suited to your needs, equipment and time availability
  • Strength training plans specific to long distance Kayak paddling, mountain biking & trail running
  • Group training sessions to improve your adventure racing skills such as navigation across all 3 disciplines
  • Regular Feedback on your training via phone, email and video 
  • Detailed Race planning and post race debriefing and analysis.

    How do you get started?

    Coaching is a personalized experience. Before you start, we recommend filling the form above so we can organise a time to chat with you about your goals and work out who the best run coach is for you within the team. Once we have established the best running coach for you, we can start the planning and program preparation. 

    What happens once we get started

    • We will arrange a phone or video call to collect all the information that we need about you. Goals, training availability, training history, training tools, 
    • We will help you set up all the tools to make full use of the training programs and our coaching service (Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift etc)
    • We use your historic training data to establish your training zones or we provide testing protocols for you to do so we can set up your training zones effectively. 
    • We will set up your customised run training plan and walk you through the overall plan, the weekly structure and how to each daily session works. 

    What happens after your training plan is all set up

    • We will update the training plan as you progress and when changes need to be made (injuries, illness, holidays etc)
    • We will contact you regularly via email, phone or video feedback as needed
    How do I access Local Sessions or Virtual Session?
    • Just download our phone app, login and you will be able to book into the sessions that you want to attend.
